Very good album, and disk

This may be my favourite CdeB album, just maybe. Its hard to judge because there are a few very good ones. Again, the familiar format works well, take several stories, covering a diverse range of themes and moods and put them into song. He is a master of getting into characters and puts on a convincing portayal each time. One moment you are with him, wondering what has your partner been up to that causes a man to phone every night asking for her, the next you are a spy in Russia, trusting no-one and feeling the cold, then you are a group of young men leaving school, ready to take on the world. The songs move smoothly and progressively between tracks. This album differs from other earlier albums in that the stories are more general in nature and more in the third person, or "we" rather than "I". A good listen with not a bad track on there. Highly recommended.Read full review
Listen to this and you realise how underrated Chris De Burgh is. Every track could have been a top ten single, there is no poor song on here. I think anybody with a heart and a soul would enjoy this album.
