What a tragic yet determined story. After reading the Tattooist of ...Auchwitz, and first meeting Cilka, then the relief of her liberation for a few short days, before being herded once again on a cattle truck, treated just as badly all over again and being transported and humiliated in a Russian labour camp for being a German collaborator, along with hundreds of other women and men. Her brave story of how she survived this is truly harrowing. But deserves to be read.

Cilkas journey is a... story about her experience in the concentration camps. What they all went through should never have happened, but it did, and we should all learn from it! It’s the 2nd book out of three from the tattooist of Auschwitz, and three sisters!
