Rock Hudson favourite.
Very excellent dvd with two of Holiwoods best actors . Both moving and funny at the same time in beautiful Italian countryside . Great storyline , they seem to live their parts not simply act them . Easy to watch time and again catching something new at each viewing . Highly recomended

Engaging and well acted.
Very amusing and the four leads are very engaging. Laughed out loud at some of the antics. Rock Hudson in particular is hilarious at times.

Definitely one for Rock Hudson comedy fans.
A must for Rock Hudson fans. Great little comedy with fabulous scenery. Gina Lollibrigida is also very good and works well with Rock in this comedy.

This is a cheery little film, perfect for a cold night in. Shut out the night and enjoy a film from a more innocent time

Corny but fun!
If you feel like a good wallow in nostalgia and some beautiful Italian scenery then "Come September" fills the bill! Actually, it's not a bad story line. Millionaire (Rock Hudson) owns a splendid villa in Italy which he only uses once a month. In the meantime, his staff are doing a nice line in using the place as an hotel for the rest of the year. That is until he decides to visit Italy early one year. Panic! Bobby Darin heads a cast of (rather elderly) teenagers and there ensues a "war between the generations" comedy. It's interesting to see the fashion of the day. I was 14 in 1961 and I remember those dresses! It's an enjoyable romp with the ever-gorgeous Rock Hudson on good form. I could have done without Gina Lollobridgida in her "woman with no brain to speak of" role, but it's a film set in its time and we had only just left the 50s! Perfect viewing for a rainy Saturday afternoon. Read full review
