I always said that the only thing the Discworld lacked was a decent soundtrack. Well here it is. Fans of Terry Pratchett will love this album. Greenslade captures the feel of the discworld stories brilliantly in these tunes. Old Tel was actually consulted in the making of it so you know it's the real deal. Once you've heard 'a wizard's staff has a knob on the end' you'll never get it out of your head. If you wondered what the bucket and stick dance sounds like then give this CD a spin. Tony 'I've a cunning plan' Robinson adds a touch of magic here and there too. Recommended.

I am a unredeemable Pratchett fan and this CD always raises my spirits and transports me out of the doldrums! If only it had the Hedgehog song as well as the Stick and Bucket Dance it would be perfect!!

For Discworld fans
I bought this for my son for Christmas - my family are big discworld fans - (my duaghter was a bit disappointed that nanny Ogg's Hedgehog song wasn't on it!) We loved it!

Musice from the Discworld.
This is amazing! Whilst listening for the first time, I had the c/d box near to hand, so that I could identify each track. The second time I listened, I didn't need the box, the music is so descriptive of the whole feel of Discworld, it's as if you're there. I really enjoy the way that the music effortlessly transports you to the different areas of the Discworld. I now know exactly 'where' I am whenever I listen. I find it fascinating that a musician can give such a description of a place, without resorting to lyrics. Obviously, there are some vocals involved, but the majority of the c/d is instrumental and I have even used this c/d for relaxation/meditation. It really worked!! The music is so good, that I feel as though I should pack my bags and move to AnkhMorpork! Brilliantly written and performed, a true genius at work. Read full review

Warning ... this CD is totally addictive !!!
From the Discworld by Dave Greenslade Virgin Records 1995 There's something for everyone here - a wide range of instrumental and vocal pieces which invoke all sorts of emotions. The opening track 'A-Tuin the Turtle' fires the imagination and makes you almost see A-tuin and the Discworld slowly moving through space. I played this CD in the car and have got my teenaged daughters hooked ... as well as my husband, who wasn't a Discworld fan at all! Be prepared to keep singing bits of 'A Wizards Staff' and 'The Streets of Ankh Morpork' (the unwary traveller). The bouncy tune of the 'Stick and Bucket Dance' stays with you for a long time afterwards and even the tinies at some Parent/Grandparent & Toddler Swimming Sessions I hosted enjoyed splashing to this ... A must for Discworld fans of all ages ... from under 6 months to over 600 years! ENJOY! Read full review
