The World Is Not Enough Soundtrack is an average soundtrack. Many of the tracks are slow and boring and there are only about four that are actually fast paced and good. There is the inclusion of the song 'Only Myself To Blame' which is not heard anywhere in the film and is sung badly by 'Scott Walker' and is as slow as its instrumental counterpart 'Casino'. This Soundtrack should only be bought if A - You are collecting Bond Soundtracks and need to complete your collection B - You like slow music On a better note, the title song sung by Garbage is fantastic and the two tracks that are from the amazing pre title sequence are fantastic also - 'Show Me The Money' and 'Come On In 007, You're Time Is Up'
Not usually a collector, I did however realise I needed this soundtrack to complement his other Bond scores! Takes me back to 1999! David himself was an avid fan of Bond AND John Barry so the series aural course is in capable hands. Despite being 10 years old, the score ages well and keeps Pierce Brosnan's third outing alive and exciting - most of all, fun. Pure escapist fun!!! If you want the Tomorrow Never Dies score be careful as there were 2 versions released - the first only had 3/4 of the films score on disc with both Sheryl Crow and K.D Lang's songs - the later disc has a more complete track listing of the whole film, but ditches K.D Lang's inclusion. Good luck finding any of them, however! Bitorrent anyone?
Great mix of music styles that really match up to the film and different elements of the film. If you've seen the film you can recall the different sections of the film when you listen to the music. One of the best Bond soundtracks.
