Day Of The Dead special edition DVD
Anyone who is a fan of the dead series should own this dvd. The extras disc is fantastic with previously unseen interviews with all the main actors and makers of the film. The film itself stands the test of time and looks and sounds great too..As a fan myself of the series I was very impressed with this DVD addition..FANTASTIC!! Romero rocks!!
Day of the Dead (1980)
Classic horror from the 1980s - much better than the remake of it. Scarier than most horror films, the zombies especially look more realistic than nowadays or those from the era. Special effects were pretty good - its more a film for a cult horror viewer, with a slightly comical side. Not exactly an "action movie" but a well done unconventional horror
Day of the Dead
Excellent zombie horror,More serious than Dawn of the Dead and the zombies look like zombies rather than anyone they have dragged of the streets and slapped rather unimpressive make up on as they did in Dawn,The acting is the best out of the 3 films,The effects are old school but top rank, and the comedy well placed.Really well made and in my eyes the best.
die dead die!!!!
master; master; this film is a classic of 50's horror movies. continuous deh deh deh soundtarcks metamorphosing into loud 'we are going to eat your brains, whether you like it or not' dun dun duns. the entire story revolves around a drunk helicopter pilot(think oliver reed piloting airwolf), a sexy main female role who nobody finds sexy, a complete maniac who everyone finds sexier than the main sexy lady and a bunch of socially inept co stars. dr frankenstein appears in a(I used to be a famous scientist; biologist; nutcase until i found a stray M*A*S*H uniform lying around and auditioned for a part in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, but all I got was this lousy T Shirt; film part) cameo role. buy 48 days later; same low budget offering only was made on a low budget. to sum up; a classic 50's zombie horror movie made in the 80's.Read full review
Day Of The Dead (DVD)
I got this a surprise present for Christmas, and boy was I excited. For me this is the best in the 4 films by george Romero, it has the zombie called 'Bubb' (an experiment to civilise a zombie). The DVD has great extra's and tell how they all lived under ground for weeks to film this. The beginning dialogue of this film also features in a Gorillaz song. This is another great DVD for any horror or zombie fan.
