Fontana, his early backing musicians, Elvis puts on the kind of crackling, charismatic show which helped make him the most famous rock and roll star of all time. Elvis fan or not
Several hours of great entertainment - even the repeated takes of various scenes are entertaining - a true professional, with seemingly unlimited talent.

How the "KING" should be remembered
Bought this dvd for my girlfreind and we watched it together,me not really being a fan i was not looking forward to it But the 68 NBC tv comeback special is how Elvis should be remembered it is chock full of great moments and classic performances from the man, also the un aired sections showing Elvis and the Jordanaires just jamming and having fun show the incredible charisma and talent the man had, he was a true showman surrounded by other talented people and his voice fitted every type of music that he attempted, i get the feeling from watching this dvd he could have sung the phonebook and made it sound good!! i wonder if he was still alive today what he would make of shows such as the X-factor and such like that just churn out unimaginative singers and flood the charts with the same old tosh. in a way im glad he is not alive to see the death of an industry he was so proud to be a part of. the title says it all elvis making his stage comeback
elvis in my opinion at his best, alot of effort gone into this production. He looks right at home, mixture of his songs from rock to gospel. Fantastic. Vocals spot on.

Elvis's best performances
This 3-DVD Set is the Elvis '68 Comeback Special Deluxe Edition. It contains over 7 hours of material, & includes over 3 1/2 hours of previously unseen material. A deluxe booklet with historical text & never-before-seen photos & memorabilia are also part of the package. Some of the songs include, 'Blue Suede Shoes," "One Night," " Blue Christmas," "Can't Help Falling in Love," "Lawdy Miss Claudy," much more. In this performace, the audience was so close Elvis could touch people in it and did. The bonus material has alternate stagings of skits & dramatized musical numbers from the show - some of them hotter than anything that made it to the screen. Simply the best !
