In my view this is a great value scanner. Much less expensive than a V700 and gives good results when both are seen in a side by side review.

OK scanner - Medium format is actually not that easy to scan on the 4990. The V700/750 is much much easier. Also I find the result need a lot more post manipulation (or manipulation in pro mode of epson scan) Not a bad scanner, but having once owned a V700, this one is average in comparison
