Fat Friends Series 1
Having watched this series when it was first aired on television, I decided to purchase the first series on dvd to watch it all over again as I remember it being a great show. I would really recommend you watch it, it's a really interesting British drama with great acting from Alison Steadman, James Corden & Ruth Jones. The main characters are on a quest to lose weight, with each episode focusing on one character & their story. I'll definitely be buying series 2 and 3 if I can get my hands on them.
I bought Fat Friend, series 1 out of curiosity.I was searching for some episodes of "friends" and i saw it on the list. So i bought it. i must say i was pretty surprised! it's good fun and I've already bought the second series and for sure I'll buy the others too!
Fat Friends Series 1 (dvd 2005)
This was written by Fay Mellor and is so true to life , i am sure that Fay ,at some point in her life must have either been to a diet club or known someone who has, (lets face it who hasent) it is 100% accurate , but incredibly funny and poignent too , and of course lets not forget that this series is where the incredibly talented Ruth Jones and James Condon first met, and went on to write "Gavin and Stacey" together, in my opinion this first series is , for me, the best as it was so fresh and new, so , huge applause for the series and Fay.
Fat Friends....Good tv
I missed this series the first time round on ITV. My mum told me how good it was but I thought....what can be so entertaining about a group of "fat" people dieting. Well I was wrong...the characters are quickly likeable and soon you are drawn into the goings on of the people who attend the slimming club. Some top rate actors and actresses really show in this series.. It's easy watching and doesn't take much concentration that other long series require. Good tv drama as it should be.
