Excellent British Nostalgia
This film is the second of 2, starring Stanley Baxter, the Late James Robertson Justice and Leslie Phillips . Both films adopt the same style of comedy . In my opinion, the first , "The Fast Lady" , should be purchased in addition, and one should watch 1 & 2 in sequence. They do compliment each other with "The Fast Lady" being a loose sequel to " Father Came Too". Overall ,they both provide great family entertainment, but I think that , on balance , " The Fast lady " has the edge . See what you think.

One of the best British classis comedies
I first watched this film on the tv a few years ago when I lived with my parents and it has been one of my favourite films out of all the British comedy classics. I reckon it is on a par with most of the carry on films, I can't really fault this film at all and staring some well known British comedy actors it is a very funny film, a definate must to see if you like the old British comedies. I already have all the carry on films,Norman wisdon films and some others and this film was a definate must for my collection.
