Brilliant acting and a poweful story
This film is not known to the wider audience therefore I was very surprised and delighted to discover that this movie is so well done with a very engaging story and characters, brilliant acting and great soundtrack. It is not always easy to watch, I cried a lot, the story is powerful and what makes it even harder to watch is the fact that it is a true story, a biography. The reality and terror of the war, holocaust, loosing friends, Nazis occupation and communist regime, the people in the middle of those events, the way each of them deals with it are portrayed in a way I cannot forget. This story will stay with me to the end of my days.

Spiritual leadership of the highest order
A great story about overcoming oppression and the struggle to survive. This shows the fantastic spirituality that was shown by Karol, the greatest leader the Catholic Church has known in modern times. This film in the end brought a tear to my eye, something that has not happened to me in a long time. A must see film not only for Catholics but for anyone who doubts the existence of faith in God.

Karol - A Man Who Became Pope
I bought this movie as I was interested to learn about the life of Pope John Paul 11, a man I admired immensely. I had not heard of the cast so was somewhat sceptical about it but I read the reviews which were positive & I felt they couldn't all be wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie which held me captivated from start to finish. I am amazed that I have never seen it advertised or on tv. I would strongly recommend this film for all the femily.

Karol-the man who become Pope
I watched this film befor and I wanted it on DVD to show my friends. The film is great tells a true story about how the II Warld War started in Poland and how it ended. It tells about the life of John Paul II before he bacame pope and that he was a normal guy who survived war but lost almost all his friends during it. Although he didnt stop being positive about life, the war encouraged him to become Pope and help people. Very emotional film about a good man.
