The Kitchen aid food processor is a quality addition to the kitchen. It is great for food preparation including chopping, grating and slicing. It is robust and solidly constructed and the design helps with storage. Pastry is a breeze and the bowl is relatively easy to clean. Be careful though as the blade is very sharp.

I have just purchased my 2nd Kitchenaid food processor. The old one is still working after several years but the lid was broken and it would only work if you fiddled around with it so I bought a new one. I use a food processor most days as we prepare all meals from scratch and I am catering for a large family. The Pro’s of this machine are: Large capacity Really powerful Robust ( unless you drop the lid!) It’s effective slicing and grating brilliantly. And the Cons: It’s Huge - not good for a small kitchen or if storage is limited Cleaning- over time food gets trapped within the sealed section of the lid and there is no way of removing it which looks unsightly. The lid is not suitable for the dishwasher - it has a metal part which slots into the bowl when assembled and over several years this corroded with dishwasher cleaning and ultimately it broke. I have passed on my old machine to my daughter who has purchased a new lid for it and when I decided to buy a new machine, despite the cons I opted for this reliable work horse again.
