my review of ms lohan's new cd
This cd is really good. I really liked the balance of raw energy & feel that this album had, along with the added dimension of a personal flavour not necessarily felt with certain other albums of the recent past. It starts of with a bang & takes you forward with similar interest from there on in. A bargain & a enjoyable purchase.
The BEST album from her carrer. Great songs, great lyrics! PERFECT! Confessions of a broken Heart (daughter to father) is a great video too.
Lindsay Lohana gets a little more personal.
Having purchased and enjoyed Lindsay Lohan's debut album "Speak", it seemed the natural thing to do to buy her follow-up - 2006's "A Little More Personal (Raw)". I don't think anyone can disagree that this album is much more personal and in terms of music, it's much more raw sounding. Still following the Pop/Rock route, Lindsay deals with different issues on the album including her Father's abandonment and living in the spotlight as a young-adult. Vocally, Lindsay sings above her peers - her voice tells a story and you can really hear the emotion. Truth to be told, the album does include a few filler tracks but it's songs like "Confessions Of A Broken Heart" and "Black Hole" which totally redeem the flaws of the other tracks. Special mention goes out to "I Live For The Day", a Pop/Rock anthem which artists like Ashlee Simpson would kill for. Overall, this is a very pleasing album and a major step up from her debut. The lyrics are grittier, the content is strong and Lindsay shines vocally on all the tracks. She may always in the media as a Hollywood wreck but the difference between Lindsay and the other "It" girls out there - Lindsay has talent and "A Little More Personal (Raw)" clearly showcases her gift.Read full review
This cd is fantastic it is a great example of the work teen stars can do when they have the talent. I decided to buy this cd as i have her debut album 'Speak' and it was really good, so i thought i would try her next one to see if she got better, and she does! It's a real shame that this cd wasn't released in the UK as i feel it would have done really well.
