Has some excellent features, especially the precision mode button. Compared to my older Logitech track roller, this model seems to have a little start up friction occasionally which I don't have in my older mouse but I'm hoping that will go away with use. Need to use it for a bit longer to make a better judgement but so far so good.

Suffice to say this is a slight improvement over the Logitech M570, but in my use the MX Ergo tends to slide around the desk more than its predecessor due to its lack of grippers on the magnetic base. The button placement is similar, what with the additions to the precision button and device switch buttons. However the downloadable software from Logitech makes the Trackman far more adaptable and provides flexibility to the users in their scope of work. The ergonomic positioning of the magnetic base plate I find to be to easily adjusted in error, and a design to prevent this could have been worked up to prevent the change in position, such as a rotatable or removable wedge, magnetic or not, inserted to prevent the accidental change of position for the user.

This is a really well-designed trackball. It's wireless over Bluetooth and the Logitech Unifying Receiver. Micro-USB chargeable. It works very well with Linux and XInput protocols so that all the buttons are usable. The scroll-wheel clicks down for Mouse-2. The DPI switch is very noticeable. It can pair with two devices. Very high build quality. Nice ergonomics with a metal tiltable base. The only issue is long-term maintenance: the metal tiltable base might get lost and it is hard to use without it!

Good tracking, very comfortable, and a good weight and non-slip base. A definite improvement over the M570 which was good. Excellent for small or cluttered desks, although trackballs can be difficult to get used to, and aren’t generally recommended for gaming. I’ve used various trackballs for nearly 20 years, mainly for CAD work, and this is the best one so far.

Not the cheapest trackball mouse you can find but it's the most comfortable one I have ever used.
