Choosing Your Golf Club Grips
There are thousands of grips to choose from in a variety of sizes. Ladies, mens and childrens sizes are available with measurements based on the length of your hand from your wrist to the tip of your longest finger.
Typically there are three types of golf club grip; jumbo, putter and ribbed. Jumbo is the largest grip you can buy, while putter grips are specially designed to enhance your putting stroke, so you can putt the ball each and every time. A ribbed grip has a pronounced rib on the underside that will serve as a reminder of where to place your fingers.

Size and Thickness
Choose from undersize, standard, midsize and oversize. Undersize can be used by children and those with smaller hands, measuring less than 7 inches. Standard is the most popular size and it measures between 7 and 8 3/4 inches, while midsize fits hands between 8 1/4 and 9 1/4 inches. Jumbo grips cater for any hands measuring over 9 1/4 inches.
You can also vary the thickness of golf club grips to your preference. Thin grips will give you increased sensation and arguably more control over your shots, while thicker grips can be used to ensure your hands are positioned in a particular way for a shot. Although grips can be bought individually, its more common to buy them in sets.
