My original shower head adjuster lasted just 12 months before losing all clamping action. Examination of failed part revealed that main body had split see photo. Further examination revealed that there was the possibility to over tighten the screw adjuster excessively thus exerting too much force between adjuster and main body. In my case causing main body to split The replacement part was same basic design with exception to shape of adjuster. My solution to over tightening problem was introduce a rubber washer between the threaded clamp part and the threaded adjuster, to take up some of clamping adjustment, and thus relieve some of max possible clamping force. This works well and clamps shower head in place. It also removes some of fear that replacement part will also fail due to constant daily height readjustment by users. Time will tell. Read full review

This is a Mira original part that comes with a very useful instruction leaflet and an Allan key to remove the grub screws that hold the rail on. Takes only a few minutes to change. Just remove the 2 grub screws to take off the rail. Remove the screw that holds on the soap dish then slacken the bottom rail holder screw and slip off the bottom bracket. Slide on the bracket. Reassemble. Easy and quick.
