The Best of Middle of the Road - re-live the best of childhood memories!
I already knew and liked several of the songs on this CD from an LP my mum had when I was a child, but found the rest of the tracks really catchy! I keep it in my car, so everywhere I go I listen to it. My 6-year old granddaughter loves it and knows most of the words - when she stays overnight we watch the film footage of the tracks on the internet, and I have had to print off the lyrics for her to do Karaoke to! Really pleased I bought this CD, takes me back to my 70's childhood, they don't make music like this anymore!

Middle Of The Road - The Best Of Middle Of The Road
Pre Abba and a big influence on them. Agnetha did cover a few of their songs. Sally Carr has unique voice and many songs on here will surprise you if you just expect "Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep" type songs. They did have 3 songs in UK charts at end of 1971 and went on to be even bigger in Europe and continue to play to full capacity audiences today in Germany etc.

My first 45 vinyl in the 70's, Love this Cheesey No.1.
Words can not truly describe this excellent number 1 sound from my teenage years, as i'm sure you are bound to agree, or you may say, that words can describe this type of sound, but would prefer not to use that sort of language. However this track is so enjoyed by all ages, especially the kids, so a recommended party floor filler. Chirpy Chirpy Cheep cheep!

After their first hit Middle of the Road slowly fell out of favour with the British public, aided by the British Media. The same was not so on the Continent and the group still has cult status to this day helped by a repertoire of good sing a long songs. The songs on the album get better as they go on after Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep (which I never really liked). If your only experience of Middle of the Road is Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep, then you will be pleasantly surprised by this album
