I've loved music ever since I have memory! I've listened to A LOT of rock bands but to be honest, there's only one band that I can listen to without ever finding a song I don't like; that'd be MUSE! I strongly recommend it. I saw them live from Seattle and they kicked ass! I LOVE THEM!
I bought this for my daughter ( the biggest Muse fan on the planet) as a stocking filler. It arrive promptly and as described.
The Absolution Tour DVD is a collection of live tracks from Muse's tours between 2003 and 2005. The main feature is their breakthrough headline set from 2004's Glastonbury Festival (well, most of it - Citizen Erased and Stockholm Syndrome have been omitted), with the footage recut from the live BBC broadcast. A performance of Fury (which nearly made it onto Absolution but only appeared on the Japanese release) at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles is among the extra features, along with a video of b-side The Groove performed in Cincinnati. In a nod to fan requests for a DVD of Muse's concerts at Earls Court, London, in December 2004, The Small Print and Stockholm Syndrome from Earls Court also appear on the DVD. There are two further bonus tracks, which can be found by selected the X on the Extras screen: Endlessly and Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist recorded at Wembley Arena, London, in 2003. A sticker on the DVD case points out that Muse have won the awards for Best Live Act at the 2004 Q Awards, 2005 NME Awards and 2005 BRIT Awards (they also took the Brit award for 2006) - a testament to the fact that Muse always put on a good show. I showed this DVD to a few friends the week before we went to see Muse on their Black Holes & Revelations tour in 2006; every one of them was blown away. In a time when people are surprised when a band's live performances are even as good as their studio recordings, Muse go one better: their songs sound *better* live.Read full review
An incredible DVD from and incredible band! Containing amazing footage from their 2004 Glastonbury headlining set, Muse, take you through songs from (in my opinion, the best album ever!) Absolution such as "Hysteria" and "Apocalypse Please", aswell as playing classics from their previous albums Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry like, "Sunburn" "Muscle Museum" and "Plug in Baby". They also pack in extra footage including a perfomance of "Fury", "The Small Print", "Stockholm Syndrome" and "The Groove". If you explore the dvd carefully enough you will also unlock "Thoughts of a dying atheist" and "Endlessly" A must have for any music fan!
