John Terry's own account of Chelsea's 2004/05 season, culminating in the championship trophy the Stamford Bridge fans have been craving for more than half a century. It is a remarkable story and a tribute to the Chelsea captain's influence on and off the field.
John Terry was born in Barking in 1980. He won Chelsea's Young Player of the Year award in 1998/99 and became captain of the England Under-21 side two seasons later. He made his debut for the senior England team against Croatia in 2003. He was voted 2005 PFA Player of the Year and has recently signed a new contract with Chelsea to run until summer of 2009.
