Fantastic mid to long range lens. Bought this as used but the supplied lens was so good I could not tell that it wasn't new, not a single scratch or speck of dirt. The lens quality is superb as expected from a Olympus ED series lens, picture quality is sharp and colours are vibrant with no distortion at the edges, perfect on my old Olympus E450 camera. Focusing was sharp and quick in through the lens mode. Set at 50mm gives a focal view that is the same as natural eyesight. Yes, it is a bit 'plasticky' in feel and looks like it may be easily damaged so care should be used when using and storing, but this does not deter from it's quality performance. Yet to see if it will stand the test of time, but for the price a good addition to any amateur photographers kit.

I bought this as a travel lens to use on an Olympus pen f. For a relatively cheap lens it gives you a massives boost in magnification without the weight pain. It is not image stabilized so not great in poor light and of course does not have the wider apertures gpr low light so pick your shooting situations... otherwise, its a bargain :-)

I bought this lens with low expectations, it's such a low price, is not stabilised, is predominantly made of plastic, and it doesn't have the word "pro" in its title. But now I have it I am so pleased I bought it. It is so very compact, extremely lightweight, and most importantly it is very sharp in the centre. Throughout the focal range I found one point (70-80mm) where images were soft on the far left side, but I think this is peculiar to my copy and it is likely there is going to be some variation in image quality from one copy to another. But always the centre is very sharp, at some focal lengths even sharper than my primes. So if you are shooting people, wildlife or centralised subjects then this lens is excellent. For architecture or landscape you need to really test your lens first and know its limitations. I found the best aperture was f/5.6 from 40-100mm and f/8 for the long end.Read full review

Very good medium length zoom that appears very sharp with only a slight softening at edge of frame a maximum aperture but even then wholly acceptable. Very convenient size for an equivalent to a 270mm lens (in 35mm). A little plastic in design but no zoom creep in use and holds focus well especially when used on Olympus OMD-EM5 and assisted by in camera stabilisation. Not a pro lens by any means but handy size and weight and no bad shots with it yet. Would have preferred an optical construction and IF design that does not have the lens extend so much when at maximum zoom but this was built to a price and is aimed mainly at amateur use. No complaints.
A great lens for the money. The only thing is the plastic lens mount. This is my second one as i managed to snap the first one completely off when I tripped. Wasn't much of a bang but took it straight off completely ruined. Apart from that its great. Get some really nice colour and crisp shots especially in good light even on full zoom. Would definitely recommend.
