Have used these joiners for ye...ars. Always work well. If they don’t fit - Check your track ends - It won’t be the joiner! To aid fitting make a simple tool from a scrap piece of code 100 rail. Bend the top surface of the rail to an angel of approx 30degrees. The angled piece should be about 50mm and the remaining piece about 20mm. Tape the angled section to form a grip. Slide half a joiner onto the 20mm long ‘tool’ and engage the remainder onto the end of the track to be used. Hold in place with angle nose pliers and remove the tool. BEFORE fitting any joiner to cut rail it is ESSENTIAL to de-burr the underside of the rail being fitted and the top side of the ‘flat bottom’ rail section too.

Unfortunately there isn't any alternative to this product f...or joining Peco track together. It is not the easiest of items to use. The main problem is it doesn't slide on the rail easily, you need a pair of pliers to hold it whilst pushing it on to rail end and it is very easy to crunch up the end whilst doing this making it difficult to connect to the next piece of track. The fish plate is also too long and often needs shortening especially when used to connect straight track to points. It is not easy to hold without closing up the folds whilst sawing off a short section of the fish plate. Not the cleverest piece of kit, but at moment there doesn't seemed to any other product that does the job. Works okay 60% of the time but be prepared to spoil a few during fitting. Good job its not expensive.

Peco stuff is very good quality, no complaints and a ...nice snug fit at the rail joints giving good conductivity.

These are designed to join 2 lengths of Peco track. They... are extremely tight as necessary to hold the rails together but I had to open the jaws at each end to get them on to Peco Code 100 Slimline track. Due to their small size this was extremely awkward (resulting in a pierced thumb) until I made a slot in a piece of timber to hold them while using a very small screwdriver to prise them apart. Apart from that they work very well.

Excellent product, easy to use. Can be used to replace... tired connectors on fixes length/shape track. Brilliant for use on flexible and semi-flexible track either in full lengths or cut to measure. Easy to adjust for secure connections.
