Very pleased with the bread maker although it takes a lot of getting used to and have to follow precise instructions.

the machine is great, still going after all this time very reliable. Good product however after a few months of usage I can think of a few improvements that could be made. I personally don't think the dimensions of anything other than the medium loaves are correct. Anything larger than the medium (400g of flour) loaves are too tall for their length, in my opinion. Also I would like the timer to be usable for the dough option and the potential to do much darker crusts, and the colour of cructs not be just a 'white loaf only' option. Other than that it's very good. Wish I'd got the nut dispenser model. If possible would be interested in a longer cycle for rye bread and stuff like that.
Great machine, can't be bettered.
We loved our Panasonic so much that when it waltzed off the work top during a frenzied kneading session, we just had to replace it. The old one continued to work, even with a cracked case, but finally I tracked down an identical replacement second hand one. Can't live without our freshly made bread each week!! Take care as you place the bin in the machine, that's why it fell!
We have had the same Panasonic SD-252 breadmaker in daily use since 2004 and have bought this one as back up and/or replacement since we suspect the one we have at present is coming to the end of its life. There is nothing to dislike about the machine, it is easy to clean easy to use and makes wonderful bread. We have tried various friends machines but none of them could touch the SD-252 for ease of use, texture and lightness in wholemeal bread. Advice to anyone starting out is to buy one.
Partner lost hers. Discarded accidentally. The replacement is better than the original. Design change, perhaps?
