The book has beautifully photog...raphed examples of prairie or block style planting schemes and detailed information about the way to plant to get the drifts of plants in large areas. It is a good reference book for garden designers as it shows the plans of the often high profile gardens, as well and has a table to show the quantities per square metre of most of the plants that he uses in these designs and the period of interest, location to plant them, and what works well in combinations. I was inspired to buy this after seeing it on the coffee table of another friend who is a keen gardener. I purchased via Wordery on EBay as it was a brand new book at much less cost than the usual retail price so even better value.

...The Best landscaping book I have read in a long time. Love how affordable the book was. Love how FAST the shipping was. Love that the postage was so affordable. The book is a must have for anyone who is interested in landscaping. I would like Piet Oudolf to do a "down under" version using some amazing plants like kangaroo paws and some of the lesser known Australian and South African perennials to suit a hotter climate. My expectations of the book were high. The book was all I was expecting and 500% even better.
Very good book
