I've recently moved into an area with lots of greenery. Trees, hedges, shrubs etc. Such a difference from looking out my window straight onto my neighbours front windows and door. I can't describe how wonderful it is to sit outside in wonderful peaceful surroundings very early in the morning. It's the best thing!!! So now in my 60's I have the opportunity to see the birds going along with their beautiful lives. So this book has been a delight for me to Identify and name them. It's becoming well thumbed and loved already. I'm delighted. Many thanks.

A very useful book for someone like me who would just like to identify the birds that visit. Surprised by the absence of the green parakeet. I realise,of course , that this is recent newcomer. However, it has been in these islands for around 200 years now. I wonder how long a bird needs to be at home here before it becomes a British bird.I wonder what other birds have been omitted.

really interesting & useful, very informative with pictures & where/when birds are likely to be found. ideal for beginner bird watchers! it’s also a great size, not too small but easy to carry around.

Bought this little book for my son who has just installed a bird feeder in his garden. Good illustrations make identification of visiting birds easy. Just the job

This is a fabulous book for recognising British birds.. lovely clear photos and lots of information on each bird. I brought this for my granddaughters to do the RSPB garden watch. They have found this book very informative. They are 4 and 6 years old..but great for any age. A must for enthusiasts.
