Roy Orbison has a wonderful mellifluous voice with a range that hits the high notes like a Swiss yodeller! His great hit of the mid-20th Century was 'Only the Lonely' with its dum-de-doo-dah backing... The 4/4 rhythm beat and Country-Western guitar makes this a niche market disc, a couple of wonderful songs that were big hits of their day - 'In Dreams' 'Too Soon To Know' and 'Only the Lonely' but a predominance of 'poor me poor me - pour me a drink' sort of music ... Good if you are in the mood to dwell on a broken heart. And of course, wonderful if you were around the first time his big hits clocked it! Have to recommend it - it's a period piece.
