Best price and delivered within 24 hours. This is easy to install if swapping with an older wired timer. If you are replacing an inbuilt boiler timer then you will need to wire in to the boiler. The Salus is easy to use manually you just increase the temp with the up arrow and the boiler will turn on and switch off when it reaches that temp. Knock it down to switch boiler off. When setting the programs be aware that you have to set times and a min temp for it to switch off. If you have the temp high and it has not reached that temp by the set off time it will keep going until it does. So set if for a low time of 10 to 16 degrees say. It has 7 day or 5/2 options if you want a different time at the weekend. The temp reading seems accurate is it is the same as a digital thermometer in the room. There is an arm on the back so it stands up. The white transmitter goes out of sight next to the boiler and the cables can enter from the back or the bottom.Read full review

Despite other comments I had no trouble getting the programmable unit to communicate with the fixed installation. Similarly no trouble programming the unit. The main difference with a digital unit is that changing the temperature involves stepping up or down whereas an analogue unit is merely a simple twist of a dial. If you get your programmed periods and temperatures OK this is not a problem as once set you won't change them. This is really only a minor irritation but it would be nice if there was a simple 'revert to programme' button if you have asked for a temporary temperature change (either up or down). Compared to other units however this represented very good value for money.

Old room stat is fitted in our draughty hallway so to get our front room to nice comfortable telling temperature we would have to turn it up high, didn't want to go to all the trouble of channeling walls and redecorating to move the cable and stat into the front room. After reviewing wireless room stats decided to go for the Salus RT500RF 5/2 or 7 day wireless programmable room stat, less than half the price of other branded name stats and with a 2yr manufacturer warranty. From opening the box it took me about 15 minutes to fit and set up, have had it for a couple of months now and it has worked flawlessly without any problems. Our front room is now at a nice constant temperature without having to turn the stat up to a high energy guzzling temperature, so will hopefully save us money on our ever increasing energy bills :-) Would definitely recommend !!Read full review
