The Samsung range of printers is excellent value for money. The print quality is brilliant, (literally) with glossy blacks and vibrant colours. I printed a test page and then scanned it. I couldn't tell them apart. Replacement cartridges are not particularly expensive. Set up (including Wi Fi) couldn't be simpler. The C480W was a direct replacement for a previous version in the 385 series, which eventually gave up after many years of service. I had no hesitation in replacing it with the same brand. It fits exactly where the old one did but there is no need now for a USB cable. Also I couldn't fault the supplier - Curry's PC World - and give them, and the product a 5* rating.

This is one of the worst printers I have ever had, and I wish on a daily basis that I had bought the HP printer equivalent! It's impossible to read the tiny information window, and I have found it utterly impossible to connect it to my network for wireless printing. One of the most irritating things is that it simply cannot cope with high quality 200g photo paper. The photo paper jams in the printer EVERY SINGLE TIME, and it takes about 10 minutes to clear the mess. And try and find support on line or on the phone – it does not exist! You have to contact HP customer support, as they have apparently taken on this task! When I tried,. the hapless operator admitted that he was all at sea with this task. I feel like chucking it into the electronics bin of my local recycling centre!

Setting up was a bit of a pain. The CD Rom supplied is over complicated (at nearly 200 pages) but once you've found the bits that matter it was fine.
