This was the cheapest T-handle I could find on eBay, having an 8 mm square shaft upon which to mount the projecting bit that holds the door locked. I had to machine part of the shaft to 8 mm diameter, then cut some of the surplus length away before I could screw it M8. I then used spacers and a stiff- nut to hold everything together. The two very long M5 screws that hold the body in the door (mine was 16 mm thick) had to be shortened, as did their tapped housings, but it did the job admirably. On my first purchase of this item, and having no lathe, I filed the corners off the shaft and was the able to put a thread in it. JODI.

The item appears to be of good quality. It fitted the door as would an original replacement. I cannot fault the item, at the moment. This type of item is fitted for the long term and so it is too soon to be offering a more descriptive opinion. Having said that, it gives the feel and impression of sturdiness.
