You get what you pay for! The assembly instructions are vey poor. This is very much a DIY product and would not be suitable for industrial/professional use. Despite that I will not be using it heavily so it is eminently suitable for my purpose.

Reviewing this product is tricky. Construction is of thin, cheap metal (like biscuit tin) and the detachable door is thiner than that. To be fair, most Silverline stuff is fit for purpose but the slogan on the side of the box "guarateed for life" is probably pushing marketing a step to far. I only need it for one job so I bought cheap.

On the positive side I got the job done and applied tyrolean to approx 20sqm of wall. But the machine fell apart - fixed handle fell off with nut and washer inside, full of gloopy mix! What a pain! It took ages to 'get it right' - initially the application was glooping and I could not get a fine spray - with time, the prongs started to wear and bed in and I found a slower rotation speed was better and we finished before lunch! I had a professional renderer with me making up my mix - expensive Weber cullamix tyrolean. In summary - if you've not got much to do i.e. maybe just a repair, then this might be OK, but do not buy if you're doing a whole house - don't think it's up to the job for professional use. In retrospect would have bought a more expensive tool, but I only needed for one small job. Read full review

Wrote an earlier review for this pile of crap...but since using it I just had to rewrite my review...this is probably the most pointless piece of equipment I have ever bought...I managed less than 3 metres of Tyrolean before it gave up...the problem being the handle turns but doesn't e gage with the drum to turn it...I did dismantle it...put it back together again...this time it lasted for less than two minutes...needless to say I have thrown it in the back of the van...It may be possible to replace the crappy plastic fittings with proper metal ones and get it to work......I have since bought the real thing costing around 50% more...but if you want good advice ... then buy the real thing in the fist place ... It will save you money...particularly if you are planning on doing more than 3 metres...!!!...Read full review

The material used in the construction of the flicker section are designed to fail (approximately 20 mins use). This element has also been designed to stop any repair. It is the worst tool have ever bought in 65 years. The specification of the plastic material at the core of the flicker results in a rapid failure of this element. The torque on the the driven section of this element is increased by the design of the handle which contributes to the rapid failure.
