I've been using sketchup drawing program...me for a year now with certain levels of success but also more than enough frustration by not getting the results I was after. I use it for modelling furniture builds for customers to view and for me to able have cut lists, dimensions to work from and a sense scale/proportion size. I decided to give this book a try and I have to say, it's helping to fill in the missing blanks that were driving me to distraction. I would advise to not only read the book but also to use the program at the same time to maximise the learning potential. I've also viewed aidans online YouTube channel and that too has been a great help. Definitely a good book to buy if your serious about learning to use sketchup.

This book is well written in an ...easy to read flowing manner. It guides you through a lot of basics with good hints and tips. More importantly it also highlights the pitfalls you might encounter. The depth of the program though means that no one book can possibly cover everything you can do with Sketchup but then again no one wants to use every tool in the store. Can easily recommend this book as the basis of your learning curve and it covers all you'll need to start creating models.
