I bought this for my 7 year old nephew... according to the age guidance, thinking this was a simple click together and apart toy. His 49 yo engineer father (my brother) got frustrated putting it together. I hadn’t realised it was made up of many plastic parts that come on an ‘air fix’ style sheets... this isn’t rap bad, but you only use a few parts to build the base and then a few parts to make each ‘robot’ none (or at least not many) of these pieces are interchangeable in making each ‘robot’ meaning the rest (most) are left on the sheets (until you make the next ‘robot’ or have to be left off the toy/robot loose, requiring a collection tub/tin of some kind. Due to the small size of those ‘loose’ pieces there is also an inherent high risk of them becoming lost etc. The solar panel works (even with a good torch) and I suppose it does what it says it will. However the box picture and age range gives the impression of this being a much simpler ‘toy’ with the emphasis being on education about ‘Solar power’ not a degree in plastic mechanical engineering, more suited to a young teen.
