I bought this product mainly bec...ause of memories from playing it in the past as a young boy, there is absolutely nothing I dislike about this product. I like that this product is in excellent working condition and the case is excellent and undamaged.
Honestly, I don't get why so many people have a l...ess than stellar opinion of this game over the original Dreamcast version. Sonic Adventure DX is an improved version of the original. While there are still some glitches and bugs in the game, the DX version fixes a fair few, and the models are improved upon too, so they don't look so weird. The voice acting is still awful but then I've come to pretty much expect this from Sega (Sonic Colors not withstanding, that game has amazing VA) so it's really no big thing - by the way if you want a slightly better experience, you can turn English subtitling on, and have japanese audio. The voice acting in japanese is marginally less irritating. :) Also I have to admit I was utterly frustrated by some of the camera work, but this is apparently improved over the original too, so I would hate to see what the Dreamcast's camera control was like. Personally I think that given what year this game came out, it's got really GOOD camera control compared to other third person action games with 3d graphics. It was only in a few key points where I had any problems, and heck I still managed to complete everyone's story including the SuperSonic finale story, which by the way, was amazing and seriously epic. Another good point is that each character's story has a different focus. Sonic's is the standard Sonic game fare, he's the big hero, he beats up robots, and stops robotnik's evil plan. However Tails' story is a tale about him growing up, realising he can't always rely on Sonic and he has a seriously good heroic moment where he saves all of Station Square. Similarly Amy discovers she can be a lot more independant and doesn't always have to run away all the time, and Knuckles discovers about his kind's past, and while he ends up pretty much back where he started, he is much more at peace with it. ...I ah... shant comment on Big's story. I found it horrendously aggrivating, but mercifully short, to the point that it didn't detract overall from the game. Gamma's story was great fun, blowing everything up in sight while speeding through levels? Hell yes. :D Anyway it's a great purchase, just remember to buy a memory card, because I utterly forgot to and was forced to complete the entire game in one sitting (okay technically 2 but I really dislike leaving my console on all night). I voted 4 bars on this as while it's not an amazing game, it's still really really good, especially for its time, and was a really nice, charming adventure, despite some frustrations, and it would be unfair of me to judge it against today's games and standards.
I like this game due to the fa...ct you have to look after something (chao babies) find them, hatch them, feed them etc,. You can also go on a train to and from different areas which is fab for young ones! I recommend this game for all ages and my youngest is 3 and I am 33 and its great fun!! xx
