I bought this phone t...o replace my Blackberry Passport and it is my first non-Blackberry in 9 years and my first move away from a keyboard. I bought the phone based on great reviews, saying that it was more or less as good as the Z5 and that the Z5 was better than the new Z. I have not been disappointed, for a two year old phone, the battery life is still very good, and the phone is fast, and hasn't hung or crashed on me yet (I've had it a month). I have one complaint and that is the wifi reception. This phone really struggles to pick up a wifi network unless your are sitting in the same room as the router. This is quite annoying and leads to me using the phone on data most of the time, rather than using wifi, as I can never pick any up. This is definitely something to think about before buying the phone, and is a step down from the Passport, (which was the same age) which was able to get a connection at fairly large distances. All in all, I am still struggling to get used to not having a keyboard but perhaps this will come with time, and the wifi issue has caused me to create workarounds for various aspects of my life, but the phone is reliable, fast, small, and easy to use. It is almost everything I could want from a phone.

Quality phone. Great battery life. Good for browsing and e...mails as well as talking & texting. Back cover is simply a cover, and as I use a case anyway, the cracked back is no issue.

Most compact mini verison of... phones lack in performance, camera quality and memory etc. I can honestly say that the Z3 Compact is the ideal size for a slick pocket fitting phone that does not lack in quality and performance. A highly recommended device.
