I picked this up new and unlocked for £117 (very cheap for this model) and, for an upper mid-range 'phone, it's well worth the money. Small, well made and with a very smart, classic look and a really nice chunky, solid feel in the hand, it's a proper adult's phone. A small object of desire, it will impress your friends. As a member of the T series, it's an all-rounder rather than the camera oriented C series or the music player weighted W series. It's amazingly slim and very compact overall. Goes in the pocket without noticing. Despite this, the tiny keypad is so well made it's actually very easy to use and not at all fiddly. The only disadvantage of the size is the smallish screen compared to some 'phones but unless you plan to watch a lot of video on it this is no problem. You have a choice of themes for the main menu and sub menus and, of these, "Sequinity" is really classy. Like I said, this is a grown-up product. Following on from this, it has decent business and organisation features including being able to synchronise all your contact details, messages, notes and diary functions with your home or work computer through a free Sony Ericcson applicaton downloadable from their website. If you register your 'phone on the website, you can also get other free downloads for your home or work computer such as a free updating service (this 'phone is a small computer and like any other computer needs softwear updates to run smoothly) and Media Go (a place to download, organise and synchronise music, podcasts, photos, RSS feeds etc with your computer). This webpage is also a great source of advice on how to use the 'phone (which has a lot of features) and get the best out of it - the extensive menus are all fairly intuitive but are not as simple as a Nokia. Looking at some of the previous reviews, all the problems mentioned could be sorted out by reading this and having a good play on the excellent interactive virtual 'phone provided before launching yourself into the real thing. The camera is good enough rather than great. But then again, if you're not a teenager anymore, you'll have a proper camera for proper photography and your 'phone is only for quick, informal snaps. You could say the same thing about the media player. Like I said, this is an all-rounder rather than outstanding in any area. It has a very decent FM radio and internet browser, mind you. Battery life is exceptional. In view of the fact that the 'phone is so small it's almost unbelievable. There is a price to pay for this inasmuch as it takes over 2 1/2 hours to charge and the screen automatically locks and turns off very swiftly to save power. Still, this is a'phone you won't be charging very frequently even with heavy use. If I have a critisism, it's the same one as you could level at nearly all mobile 'phones ie. it comes with a very small internal memory and the removable memory card supplied is, at 512Mb, not all that big either. If you want to store a lot of media, you need to buy a bigger card (having said that, my 15 half-hour podcasts only use half the available space). Oh, and the supplied headphones are nothing to write home about (but are still better than the penny-pinching rubbish a £250 iPhone comes with). Overall, I really like it. Just looking at it or touching it is kind of nice....... I hope this helps.Read full review
Brilliant product! Sleek and lovely phone! Easy to use and upload pictures, music, etc. I love the colour and how it's so light and easy to carry around..not bulky at all.. the camera is a little bit dark so hard to see the photos although the photos are very clear. Just an overall very superb phone!
When I received my new phone in the post. And took it out of the box I was amazed how thin and small it was. It has a great set of features. Which I was really impressed with. My favourite one was the light. You could use when taking photos, or to get your key in the door of your house. Or Send a S.O.S help message with the light. It fitted neatly into a trousers, jacket, or shirt pocket. You would hardly know it was there. The things I did not like about the Sony Ericsson T700 was that you could not search for a contact by the letters A B C etc, it uses numbers this takes a bit longer. Also I did not like the fact that you could not make the cell phone silent for a timed period Say 7 hours. You had to switch it on and off manually. On my last cell phone you could activate silent mode for 7 hours. After the 7 hours had elapsed it would go back to the pre- selected profile that you had selected e.g. Outdoors, Meeting, At Home. But apart for that I am extremely happy with it and would certainly purchase another Sony Ericsson Cell Phone. .Read full review

This phone is excellent. A very attractive phone to the eye. Easy to use. Love the way it arranges your photos in the months they were taken and the sound from the music is good too.
