A simple to use small radio. AM tuning is a bit finicky but easy enough. FM tuning is okay. The sound quality is as good as I've ever heard on a radio this size. Having battery and tuning lights is a useful bonus. Ideal for camping or when you want quiet listening.

Overall, for someone who doesn't want to use headphones it is good little radio. Personally, I wanted to use it specifically at work with my clip around headphones. I am really dissappointed! I'm having to turn the volume control up to its maximum to get any decent amount of sound, and even then it is comparitively quiet and "tinny" sounding. I put brand new duracell batteries in there so that isn't the problem. Until it broke recently, I've been using my good quality pair of clip around headphones in a smaller silver sony walkman, (a different model to this) and the sound and quality was really good, even at only half volume setting. I shall now try and locate a simliar model to my old one because, for my circumstances.......... it is useless.

The only reason I bought the radio was so that I could listen to BBC Radio4 Test Match Special when I was at the recent England v. West Indies test match in Edgbaston. I tried on both channels but failed to find Radio 4 . I naively assumed that I would be able to find it on the AM band like I can on my car radio.
