First of all, it's important to notice the fact ...that Sony did try to stray away from the beaten path of tablet design and manage to get a tablet that stand aside from the competition. And I have to say that the folded magazine is a great concept. It won't work with everyone but use it and you'll notice straight away that it makes sense. Holding it is much more comfortable than your average slate and when you put it on a desk / table, it is slightly elevated which makes it very practical for typing. Now design apart, the performances are on par with the tablets of that generation, everything run smoothly, the battery life is good (a day of use roughly)and Sony had the great idea of putting an infrared sensor so that you can control your TV / DVd player / media box from the tablet. Software wise, Sony has its own set of aps and games which, also not strickingly different from the competition is a nice addition... Although, being also a media company you would think that they would have put a greater emphasis on their media catalogue by designing better aps... Maybe one day they'll realise that. All in all a very good tablet that stand aside from the competition by its original design.
i ...wanted the xoom but as it was too expensive i went for the sony s1 as i won it cheap on ebay , its good and the fact you can change multiple things (e.i tv/dvd/av reciever and more) is a brilliant and is the only tablet you can do this with, ive had the tablet about 5 months and heres my pros and cons: pros : size is good battery is good the shape is ok its nice to hold seems pretty fast and has a good touch screen cons : the screen is plastic not glass therefore you must use a protective screen as its easy to scratch seems a bit laggy sometimes and sony doesnt seem to be doing any up dates for it though have heard it will get ice cream sandwhich there isnt many playstation games to play on it as its playstation certified
I brought my son this Sony tablet as his last Fusion tabl...et decided to take over 24 hours to get to 80% charged. As my daughter had the Sony tablet, I knew I was buying a good quality tablet that keeps it's charge for quite some time before needing recharging. The quality of the picture is great. Only thing that let's it down is the camera. But then, my children don't really use it for the camera. Great product and would recommend to anyone.

This tablet has been around a few years now,... but don't be surprised, it was built with future in mind, unlike many (brand names) even, this tablet and its running system never fails to download the latest updates, latest software and performance never fails. I'm a Iphone and iPad user, but I'll never give up this ageing technology tablet, just bought one cheap for someone who liked mine, paid 40 for it and he was delighted. You will be delighted too, don't pay a fortune for a tablet from China, pay the same price for abused Sony Tablet S

I first thought of getting the ...norm !(Apple iPad) but am very happy I didn't. The Sony s is great. I am not tied down iTunes or apple. The choice of sites to get apps from is huge therefore the choice of apps is humongous! You can leave loads of programs open while you go back and forth between them.. no having to keep shutting them down on this baby. It's easy to use and very light, the ONLY slight disappointment is the battery life isn't as good as it says. BUT all in all, I'd recommend it to anyone.
