Love this soundtrack, there are some great listing on it and they really compliment the film! Can't stop listening to it time and time again.
Having watched the movie at the cinema recently and being enchanted by both the storyline and special effects, I was aware that the greatest part of a movie is not neccesarily it's picture quality but it's soundtrack. It was because of this that I decided to purchase this CD. The ability of music to convey ranges of emotions is quite profound and just listening to this CD once more cunjured up the pictorical references of the movie. The different Artist's attempts to portray the main characters emotions and experiences through music is both a delight and revelation to listen to. From the heavy rock type compositions to the quirky 'possibility'to the classical greats, the music meanders the listener through a truly unique love story between a vampire and a mortal girl. This Cd is excellent both in it's quality of production, it's superb selection of Artists and in the way the music flawlessly weaves the listener into and under it's spell. This Cd is excellent also in the fact that some of the Artists chosen are little known and this element allows them to showcase their talents along with the little known actors/ actresses of the movie. Even if you have yet to see the movie the music alone holds your attention and conveys it's message to you that love lasts forever and overcomes anything, a Cd that will last also I think.Read full review
I own both the sound tracks for Twilight and New Moon and both are really good, taking you back to the movies and the parts that the songs on albums were used for. Twilight the album is a defo buy, highly recommended. I only bought this one mainly for track 3. Thom Yorke - Hearing damage, which is when Victoria attacks Harry Clearwater and is then being chased by Jacob Black and his gang of wolves to the sea while Bella Swan is taking her first cliff dive. But to my suprise i liked the rest of the album as well so a good buy, especially at £4.99 and free P&P. I can't complain. If you like the films you have to buy the soundtracks.
A good opportunity to hear new artists, but I found it not quite as memorable as the first twilight cd. The best thing on this soundtrack is quite definately Thom Yorke - Hearing Damage, thats probably the reason I bought it, never mind!
For me this was not as great as the 1st Twilight CD. The compilation of music is a bit all over for a movie soundtrack. While there are a few nice songs in the lineup the previous CD Twilight had a better mix & overall nicer music. I don't hate it I don't LOVE it either
