I can’t rate this high enough. I found this easy to use and does a... great job. I have already recommended it to a few friends and they agree its great. It’s not heavy so you won’t get problems using it. I have yet to find any problems or a static grass application it can’t do. Compared to the price of some it is as cheap as can be but does exactly the same job as one costing £100.

Much cheaper than similar products, by bigger m...anufacturers. But does pretty much the same job. Works well, easy to use - although it takes a bit of practice to avoid minor shocks. I use it a lot and find it quick and easy to use, very little set up and you're ready to go.

I was searching for a simple a...pplicator for the Static Grass to use for figures and train layout. A quick search online revealed many choices, and descriptions of how to build your own. I looked closely at this item, and found a review on a model train layout forum. My considerations were: Does it work? Cost? Could I make one? How do others compare? I found that I could make one, but the price of this unit was close to the expenditure I would have to make to build one, and that this design had a tub for the flock. Other items were very similar, except for the price. Many options cost 3 times the price and upward. In fairness, some high-end designs could prove better for individual needs, but not by much, and this seemed suitable for my purposes. The review I found on the train site (sorry, I cannot remember which one, just search for Static Grass Applicator) did provide reassurance that this would work. Trusting this review, and with the Ebay guarantee of money back, I bought one. I used it today and WOW! It is simple and works. I used it for my figures to add some flock to the bases and it does exactly as it says in the description. I placed a plastic base, with glue dabs on, on a tin lid (some 150 x 150mm) and followed the instructions. Worked perfectly though you do need to be quite close (25 to 75mm above) for it to work well. The photos show 2 bases, the one on the left is the 1st attempt, where I was further away from the base. For the second I was around 30mm above it. I hope you can see the effect well. Do read and follow the instructions, I did get a shock when I accidentally touched the tin lid that the base was on, with my finger whilst tapping the tub! A good belt, so keep clear of small hands and remove the batteries EVERY time you stop using it. In summary; An excellent bit of kit which works and works well. It is exceptionally cost effective, though you do need to heed the advice on electric shocks unless seeking a surprise! I have not tried it for a layout, but for figure bases it is amazing for the price. I have no hesitation in recommending this to Static Grass flock users.

First time I have used static grass and am really hap...py with the results. The little tub that hold the grass keeps it secure while using and easy to undo when you are done so you don't spill any. There is a little lip round the edge of the tub that can get grass stuck on it if you are using a low amount but a quick flip gets it back. It also came with an information sheet that covered how to use it. Great for large areas, tufts and flowers.

This is a great product. Easy to use compared to oth...ers I've tried mainly because of its size and intelligent design. Great value for the price. Time will tell how long it lasts, but I sure am happy with it now.
