This was purchased to control a garden railway l...ocomotive. It works well and does its job. The wires are very heavy duty obviously designed to carry a very heavy current. The connectors are made for a specific application but with slight alterations, i.e. chocolate block connectors, they can be made to fit anything. The ESC has a large heat sink which makes a large storage area necessary. Provided you have the space then this is the bees knees.

I installed the ESC I have the car a run on old battery ...at first , I thought it was slow but thought it must the battery , I have since discovered that this tble-02s ESC from Tamiya runs the motors a little slower = Limp car performance . Don't bother with it !!!

If you want a basic, easy to set up ESC, this is the on...e for you. I have used them with Tamiya 15.5 turn and Hobbyking 13.5 turn brushless motors and they perform well - maybe not the fastest ESC but are progressive and easy to control. Can also be set to use with brushed motors, so very flexible and at this price you can't go wrong!

Trail Blazers Tamiya have p...roduced yet another multipurpose speed controller that is working nicely with my vintage 27mc/s radio and a new build six wheeler. Seems well made and compact as you would expect as it is fitted to one of their vehicles. You just tape back the orange lead if running a brushed motor and setting up was a doddle.

I bought this to replace the electro-mechanical speed... controller on an old Kyosho Bandit Pro. It was plug compatible with the original Futaba FP-514B servo, powered up and performed calibration as per the instructions and it worked perfectly. Excellent. (Note that the Kyosho kit has a socket on the battery, the Tamiya standard is for a plug on the battery so I had to change the battery connector to suit but this is just the way things are!)
