My partner got this for me when it came out and I wasn't sure at first... B-sides, can be a hit and miss, mismatch of tracks usually. However, this is definately a nice balance between some you've heard but haven't got and those you just didn't know about. My only nag is that some tracks are repeated in different mixes and that's a bit annoying if you are looking to play the CDs through from start to finish - do you really need 3 versions of the same track after each other?? Having said that, some of the mixes do sound completely different. So I couldn't say I hate it... This definately gets a good from me. This box set has 4 CDs, which features 70 tracks, of which there are about 63+ differing tracks. There is also an attached book with pictures of the changing band and a write up on their history, which is split down into the years covered by each of the 4 CDs. Tracks include: 10:15 on a Saturday night Plastic passion Pillbox Tales Do the Hansa I'm cold Another journey by train Descent Splintered in her head Lament Just one kiss The dream The upstairs room Speak my language Mr pink eyes Happy the man Throw your foot New day The exploding boy A few hours after this A man inside my mouth Stop dead A japanese dream Breathe A chain of flowers Snow in summer Sugar girl Icing sugar Hey you!!! this 4 cd album is among the very best of the cure, their b-sides are every bit if not better than the singles that they were on. If there has been a more unique group in british pop/rock history that has sustained itself over 30 years, then please let me know i think the cure are the best bend to ever come out of these shores and this cd is one of the reasons why, please do yourselves a favour and get hold of a copy.thx
