Fitness and Fun
I bought this on a total whim as this is something that I would not have normally bought, but I thought what the heck, lets try something different! The DVD starts off with your trainer showing off some fancy moves, but as a dancer and choreographer, you cant expect anything less. He soon reassures you that he wont be expecting anything like that and talks about the benefits of the DVD. It then goes on to show a girl losing weight she put on after an operation, claiming to use the DVD (or at least, dancing). That was very visual, in that she's a little tubby and then loses the weight and looks great through dancing. In my opinion, I thought it was a good motivational tool. The DVD then goes on to start the workout (incidentally, you can skip past that start and go straight to the work out section from the main menu). The trainer pretty much goes straight into it, and eventually by the end of the song you have put together a fair few dance moves. It then moves onto the next song, targeting another part of the body (there are a total of around 5 songs, then a cool down). I would say that each song is around 5 minutes in length, so the total workout time is about half an hour. The cool down was a nice combination of stretching and some muscle exercises, doing some crunches and hip thrusts to tone buns, tums and legs. GOOD POINTS Lots actually: - Probably the most important thing this DVD gave me was a smile on my face! I was laughing and smiling the whole way through! I got some of the moves wrong, and sometimes I stopped wondered how to do what he was doing and sometimes I was just waving my arms around like a loon! But I was laughing, when I was getting it right and even when I was getting it wrong. You have to enjoy what you are doing and I certainly did! - The music is good in my opinion. I felt that it really got me going and was a bit snazzier than your usual workout DVD fare - The dance moves were repeated, giving me time to get to grips with some of the more complex moves. But to be honest, the moves were pretty easy and I found it easy to pick it up (I still sometimes waved my arms around a bit with no rhythm, but you never get anything right first time!) - You dont need a great deal of space to do this because most of the moves were fairly compact, which is great in my opinion because I dont! - I really enjoyed the cool down as there was a lot of stretching, which is something I always enjoy BAD POINTS Not many at all, and not really a bad point to be honest: - The only thing I would say is that it could have been a bit of a harder workout. Im a black belt martial artist and very much used to Tae Bo routines and Jillian Michaels and although my heart rate was up and I was sweating a bit, it was nothing like what Im used to. However, Im a firm believer that you have your lazy days, and if you want to work out without getting too much of a sweat on, then its ideal. All Im saying is that if you’re looking for an army training boot camp, then this isn’t it Overall I really enjoyed this DVD. Im pretty hardcore into fitness and its not a huge workout like I said, but really fun and really enjoyable. Easy to pick up and get into it straight away without anything too complex and anything that can help improve my moves on the dance floor is always a bonus!! I definitely recommend this as part of your collection, and honestly, I cant wait to get home tonight from work to do it again! Read full review

Hot Pants Workout works a treat
This dvd is really good. Has a great easy to follow workout that really gets you moving. Is only on for an hour, has a cool down and toning section at the end. It is based on dance moves that aren't too difficult to do. If you do this regularly you will definately see a difference in yourself. i do it everyday almost and can feel the difference.

Fun and excellent workout with fast results
I have this fitness workout on VHS and am now buying it on DVD. It is a fun and effective fitness workout that really tones the hips, legs and waist with results in a couple of weeks, providing you do the workout regularly (4/5 times per week). Although slightly repetitive at times it works the legs quite hard and because you are concentrating on the moves you whizz through it without getting too bored. My legs changed shape with this workout and became more shapely, and it accentuated my waist and hips. I've recommended this workout to five friends who all swear by it - would definitely give it a go it you want to tone up, lose weight or even add shape to a boyish frame or straight legs.
