Thought provoking film
My son had to watch this film as part of his A levels and I reluctantly joined him. I'm so glad I did. A very powerful story that stayed with me for days afterwards. Parts of it really upset me but it was compulsive viewing and I recommend it.

Facing the terrible Taliban
Harrowing story about two little mates growing up in Afghanistan, one rich the other a servant's son. They are the closest of pals until a terrible act tears them apart. Decades later the rich lad, now a grown man in the States, gets a phone call that makes him face his childhood cowardice and seek redemption in the terrifying world of the Taliban. Fascinating look at an alien culture and a very moving and disturbing story.
Thought provoking, I'd say :)
The adaption of the Kite runner, is what I would categorise as a thought provoking story. It definitely raises issues, of Afghanastan people, (hazaras discrimination for example) The film is very well acted, and the characters are protrayed with emotion and feeling. Though it't not my favourite film, I think it's worth watching :)
