When The Power Game was originally transmitted, the whole country stayed in to watch. The cast is sublime - apart from the leads, there are Peter Barkworth, George Sewell, Michael Jayston. It is still huge fun.

The Power Game series have never been bettered.
It was a great shame Patrick Wymark died at 44 following the third series. Had he not the series would no doubt have continued and improved even further.

Another mile-stone in British .TV.
I love almost all veteran British T.v. The strong acting, fashions that serve as a bench-mark to days that have long departed, the big hair styles, good-looking girls that did'nt need cosmetic surgery, come to think very much the kind of girls who one would take home to Meet Mum & Dad (wow!) This Movie is about business, wheeling & dealing, 1960's stuff, nothing changes, at least not as quickly as politicians pledges or expense accounts, Film detail is stunning, black & white lends impact to drama, reproduction is superb, my copy was via 'Network dvd. co.' very high quality merchandise. Buy it & try it, resells well on ebay.

Television drama at it's finest!
The Power game is a boardroom drama from the sixtie's and it ran for three series. The quality of the acting is first class and the story writing too,if only all drama was this good! I implore anyone with a fondness for sixtie's tv drama to give this series a go,you will be glued to it as I was.

Gripping old TV series
I did not see this programme when it first appeared on TV 30 years ago, though I recall being told how good it was. I have no regrets about this purchase. It is well acted, well produced and believable. Furthermore it does not suffer from the current film-makers' disease of over loud music and sound effects to the detriment of the spoken words.
