Good quality book and excellent pictures
The book as usual in the series is well produced and the colour pictures are detailed. Errors in the text though spoil overall accuracy of items described. The sailors collar for example is fastened to the waistband by a waistcoat type of buttoning flap of material. This collar was not introduced into RN until the the 50's.Wartime collars where held in place by a tape and loop attachment tied around the waist. some editing checks on the series in whole would make a good series excellent but at present minor text or picture errors appear in every volume of the series that i have bought. Other than the errors the book makes an excellent start to research into Royal Navy uniforms in World War Two.
