Bought this book to help initiate use of our newly acquired Aga. The content looks well written and we look forward to experimenting. Because the new kitchen is not yet in use, no results are available, but the guide looks very informative and helpful.

Useful book to show you how to bake bread and cakes in either a two, three or four oven Aga. It is quite handy that Louise Walker does these books for separate types of cooking so you can just grab the one you want rather than having everything in one giant book. Not really tried the recipes yet but they look good and not too 'fussy' so can't wait to try them. I also bought the vegetarian volume which is great because Aga cookbooks tend to be very 'meat, fish and game' which I suppose goes with the territory but not much good if you are a vegetarian, especially if there are lots of gory photos of dead cooked animal. That is one thing that this book lacks and that's photos of the finished product - but in a way that is good because you are encouraged to make it to see what it is like and are not disappointed when it doesn't look quite like the, most probably photo-shopped, photo in the recipe book. Like all the Aga books I've seen so far they seem to be very much fans of the Aga cookware. I'm sure this is fantastic and really will last you a lifetime but is very expensive. I'd recommend using your existing cookware and seeing how you get on first before splashing out on extra cookware. The Aga beast itself is so expensive to run that you have to make some savings. Think, flat bottomed, heavy duty and ovenproof handles.Read full review
