Zimmerman has served as an editor at Byron Preiss Visual Publications, Topps Comics, and Marvel Comics. Wayne Vansant served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War before earning his degree from the Atlanta College of Art. Vansant oversaw Marvel's Vietnam War comic The 'Nam, which he worked on for approximately five years, illustrating more than fifty issues.
