Well researched enjoyable read
The Thruxton Bonneville was amongst the first racing bikes based closely on a production road-going motorcycle which any ordinary rider could buy. In 1969 it became the first such motorcycle to lap the Isle of Man TT course at over 100mph. This book covers the history well and has captured the essence of the marque and of the time. The book's strength is the interviews with some of the 'old timers' and the use of contemporary accounts and records. The author has been meticulous in his research and the use of Triumph factory records adds real authenticity. Congratulations to l'Inglese on creating such a thoroughly enjoyable book.
