I needed a card reader to transfer photos taken on my digita...l camera over to my PC. There were certainly a lot to choose from but I opted for this one partly because of cost and partly because it seemed ideal for my purpose and could be stored easily due to it's size. I'm very happy with the device. The transfer rate is good and my data is intact after transfer. I also have the option of using it to read data from many different card types including the popular SD and Micro SD formats among others. It's great value for money and it does what it says on the tin. If you're looking for a reliable, low cost card reader look no further.

Its very basic but look at the price. The slot...s the memory card goes in are a bit imprecise and at first I didn't think it worked. They're naff to be honest.the lead connecting power source doesn't go all the way in so also not a good fit. It's small and neat, could fit in your pocket.Delivery was prompt. I needed a card reader quickly and it looked good value.I will probably buy a better quality one that transfers big file sizes quickly at a later date. Can't honestly recommend this just because of the poor connections.I suppose you buy that cheap that's the risk.

My only real issue is that its not clear what ...slot is for what card. It works for micro SD & XD Photo and the slot on the back (the one with two rows of pins) might be for a ST1 mini disc drive, but I can't say for certain (the similar ST1.2 drive doesn't fit). No idea what the other slots are for.

Cheap & cheerful. When you use it for the first time, make sur...e the cable is connected to the adapter properly - due to being new, i had to slightly force the cable into the socket... other than that, all good!

Lightweight little box, as all these readers te...nd to be. Simple set-up, just push in the micro-USB lead and plug into computer USB slot. Note that it needs to be pushed firmly in, before the little red Access light comes on. The card slots aren't labelled, to be fair there isn't much room on the device to add labelling; but a little printed diagram would have been handy. As it is, we only tend to use SD cards so not a problem. Device connected to computer and displayed all files on SD card with no difficulty.
