Beautiful little known movie about daily life in one of the poorest African countries. The photography is amazing and the insights in to the huge contrast between life in the UK and the hopelessness of Africa is sharply drawn. I have been to Mauritania where this was filmed. They have sandy streets in the capital and very little street lighting but are immensely proud of their Nouakshott. They were surprised to learn that we don't have camels in our capital and felt a little superior. Attempts to describe a zoo were met with amazement and disbelief! Well worth viewing - One seen with a woman teaching a young girl her songs is particularly moving and optimistic.
