I don't normally bother with reviews, but...
... I had to write a review for... this kit. At just over £8 for a signal generator, with free P&P and a case as well! It is superb value and, after a couple of very enjoyable hours building it, you end up with a great little generator that's ideal for audio work, etc. The instructions are very amusing, written in 'Chinglish' (they tell you how to 'weld' the components to the board :-) ), but everything you need to know is there (including the circuit diagram) and if you know how to solder, it's very easy to make. The case is laser-cut acrylic with laser-engraved legends as well. Super value, fun to build and you end up with a great little signal generator - what's not to like?

Works OK but instructions are dire.
Received in a black plastic bag, so the ...IC's legs were bent flat, as were the socket. Instructions are a badly photocopied Chinglish sheet which would be very unhelpful to the inexperienced. As it was, I had to trace the board to work out what the semicircle shading on the board signified (negative). There was no indication what to do with the four short screws and nuts, but I see from enlarging the photos here that they get used as crude feet! For the price it's adequate, but it needs proper documentation.

Exellent diy kit.
Easy to assemble with a small compact footprint. I have us...ed mine extensively now and its never failed to produce good smooth signals throughout its range. An improvement to it would be the addition of a digital read out , but its still a worth while purchase if you need a simple but effective device.

Good 1st function generator
If you need a function generator and can build i...t yourself and do not want to spend a fortune this a good deal. My only slight problems were the diagram was photocopied to many times and the level controls work anti-clockwise.
